Deborah Krummel, M.A., L.P.C., L.M.F.T.

Deborah Krummel has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. She is a Licensed Professional Counself (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Texas. She has been in private practice since 1985 and is a member of the National Eating Disorders Association.

She was the Director of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services and Director of Childrens and Adolescents Services with the Southeast Texas Regional Planning Commission. She left that position to become the Director of an inpatient, alcohol and drug abuse treatment unit. In Houston, she has also worked in the department of Marketing and Development for an inpatient recovery center.

Deborah has presented at numerous conferences and has been interviewed on TV, radio and in newspapers. She has been or is a member on the boards of programs involved with substance abuse or womens issues.

She is very interested in her own spiritual growth and in the spiritual growth of her clients. When completing an assessment in her practice, she believes a recogniton of the spiritual dimension is very important. Deborah has been involved for years as a leader with Strength for the Journey, a womens retreat ministry.

Deborah specializes in the areas of marital and family counseling, eating disorders, womens issues, grief and loss, and self-esteem. One of her specialities is working with women who are experiencing menopausal symptoms. She provides psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults. She is a Christian and is actively involved in her church community.
